Bright Grey: We’ve improved our financial underwriting limits

We recently changed our financial underwriting limits on our Personal and Business Protection Menu plans to help to get your clients on risk more quickly.

For Life Cover on our Personal Protection Menu plans, we now ask for financial evidence for cover over £1.5 million. And on Critical Illness Cover at over £750,000.

We can also accept evidence direct from the customer rather than a third party – we won’t ask for proof of earnings, a loan offer, or third party confirmation until they’re applying for more than £3 million of Life Cover. And your clients won’t have to provide additional evidence through a financial questionnaire until they’re applying for over £1.5 million of Life Cover.

The multiples of salary have also increased. So if you have a client under 40, looking for a relevant life policy on our Business Protection Menu plan, you can now offer them up to 20 times their salary. And for people aged between 50 and 59 you can now offer them up to 15 times their salary for Life Cover.

These are just some of our improvements. You can see full the details in our financial limits tables online. Just go to www.brightadviser.co.uk/literature and click on the ‘underwriting’ tab.
